Asking us to help you find a property will inevitably lead to questions concerning
ownership structure, financing, tax, insurance etc…
We are very happy to provide you with free general orientation on our website. More
specific advice and time spent finding you solutions is charged fairly and competitively.
For the sake of simplicity we have divided our services into the following categories:
1. PROPERTY SEARCH
Finding you the property that you actually buy : No charge
2. FINANCING
Arranging mortgage finance : 0.5% to 1% broker fee depending on complexity of loan
3. PROPERTY CONVEYANCING
Taking you from A to Z in your property transaction
• Checking your preliminary contract and advising on let out clauses
• Liaising with the estate agent and the vendor at all stages of the transaction
• Arranging all insurance cover
• Arranging electricity, gas, water and telephone connections in your name
• Liaising with and explaining your requirements to your notary
• Translating the “Acte de Vente” or purchase contract and explaining it to you
• Handling deposit and foreign exchange requirements *
• Acting as power of attorney for signing off in front of the notary if you can’t
be there yourself
• Ensuring all relevant property searches (title, encumbrances, local authority
planning etc.) and surveys (e.g. termites, asbestos, lead etc.) are executed and explained to you
• Arranging all insurance cover
We offer both a global service including all of the above charged at 0.25% of the price of the property
(Min EUR 1000) and a personalised service at an hourly rate of Euro 100

In most cases (apart from property valuations), we can provide clear orientation on these issues directly out of Macmillan Partners and we charge EUR 100 / hour. When specialist advice on complex situations is needed, our French Investment Network of professionals will normally charge around EUR 150 hour.
